Walking down our own spiritual paths can be lonely at times. The process becomes more meaningful when we can share it with others. This is where small group ministry comes into play. Small Group Ministry at UCC of Missoula, is a part of our overall vision.
We are dedicated to helping people make deep, lasting, meaningful and intentional relationships and connections with others through small group ministry.
If you would like to participate in the small group ministry, or would like to be trained as a leader of a small group, please email the UCC office, here.
Though the format changes, we are currently structured as follows:
We have a few groups that meet regularly each month or week, including an LGBTQ group, Mammas’ Group, and a couple of long-term book groups. Email us if you would like to join one!
1 – 2 month small groups are formed around themes, books or topics, including our annual Contemplative Backpack trip in July/August.
Various groups and workshops will take place during the fall, mainly with a social focus. Past groups have included dinner groups and “affinity groups” based on common experiences or identities.
Winter or Spring:
All small groups will focus on the same topic as a focused way to bring the entire community together and accompany us on our spiritual journeys. These follow the liturgical year with Advent (winter) and Lent (spring) themes.
