UCC of Missoula will have 4 worship services open to anyone seeking a place for celebration, community and spirit.
December 24th, (Christmas Eve)
The 5:00 pm will be a service geared toward families with young children. We will light the Advent Candles, hear the Christmas story and sing many carols. The UCC Bell choir and the Brass Ensemble will offer their gift of music. Rev. Amy Carter will lead our worship service and offer a short Christmas message. Our worship service will end with the lighting of candles and the singing of the carol Silent Night.
The 7:30 pm service will be a traditional worship service of lessons and carols. Rev. Amy Carter will be preaching and we will be blessed by the music of the UCC String Ensemble and the Chancel Choir. This worship service will also end in candle light.
The 10:00 pm worship service will be led by Gary Hawk and Joyce Hocker. This service is more quiet and contemplative and will include scripture lessons and a sermon. Alice Williams will be offering her harp music and we will also be blessed by a vocal solo by Robin Kendall. This worship service will include communion and will end in candle light.
December 25th, (Christmas Day)
Rev. Laura Folkwein will lead this informal worship on Christmas Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. This will be a quiet, casual, come-as-you-are service: PJ’s, sweatshirts or your Christmas best are all appropriate. Alice Williams and Jeff Stickney will accompany us with a Christmas carol hymn-sing, and we will read some Christmas stories and poetry. Bring your favorites to share. Leftover holiday treats are always welcome at coffee hour afterwards. There will not be childcare or church school at this service.
